We have combined our resources to offer you an opportunity to help bring out your students “Sparks” using the TEL.A.VISION vision video creation software. Spark.A.Vision is presented as part of the legacy to Dr. Peter Benson for his work on “Sparks”. Dr. Benson was an early supporter of TEL.A.VISION and the author of a book on Vision.
Spark [spärk] noun 1. an individual’s deepest passions and interests that give them meaning, focus, joy and energy. Sparks—when illuminated and nurtured—give young people joy, energy, and direction. They have the power to change a young person’s life from one of “surviving” to “thriving.” Here is more information on Sparks.
Here is what Dr. Peter Benson had to say about TEL.A.VISION, “Our current culture is filled with negativity, cynicism and hopelessness. Our young people are the vulnerable recipients. We know from our work in positive youth and community development that it is not only possible to bring hope into the mix; it is a key to sustainable change. We believe TEL.A.VISION and the empowering process of creating visions of hope for the future will be widely embraced.”
Dr. Benson wrote a book called Vision: Awakening Your Potential to Create a Better World. In it he says “the capacity to generate vision is among life’s most beautiful and unheralded gifts. A vision is more than just a goal, more than just a dream of what could be—it is a summons, a pull towards the future, an inspired call to make real that which should be. ”
