TEL.A.VISION aligns to many of the federal funding programs under No Child Left Behind and IDEA. The information below lists how TEL.A.VISION supports the requirements of each funding program.


No Child Left Behind

Title I, Part A

Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged, Basic Grants

  • In place to support school improvement activities.
  • Funds programs that aid in student retention and/or that improve achievement.


Title II, Part A

English Language Acquisition: State Formula Grant Program

  • In place to increase the academic achievement of all students by helping schools and school districts improve teacher/principal quality and ensure that all teachers are highly qualified.


Title II, Part D

Enhancing Education through Technology

  • In place to improve student academic achievement, including technology literacy, through the effective use of technology in classrooms.


Title III

English Language Acquisition: State Formula Grant Program

  • In place to assist school districts in teaching English to LEP students and to help these students meet the same state standards required of all students.


Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

Your TEL.A.VISION subscription may be purchased with IDEA funds:

  • TEL.A.VISION covers all core academic subjects as defined in the ESE Act of 1965.
  • TEL.A.VISION enhances learning by using technology that enables all students to:
  • Meet state standards.
  • Acquire basic skills.
  • Improve parental involvement.
  • Meet IEP requirements.


IDEA – General Information

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is the main federal program authorizing state and local aid for special education and related services for children with disabilities. On December 3, 2004, President Bush signed the reauthorized Individuals with Disabilities Education Act into law to:

  • Ensure that all students with disabilities have available a free, appropriate public education which includes special education and related services to meet their unique needs
  • Ensure that the rights of students with disabilities and their parents are protected
  • Assist states and localities to provide for the education of all students with disabilities
  • Assess and ensure the effectiveness of efforts to educate those students.
